Boracay Flights consist of 6 Philippines Domestic Airlines
which is Asian Spirit, SeAir (South East Asian Airlines) and Interisland
Airlines to Caticlan Airport and PAL (Philippines Airline), Air Philippines,
Cebu Pacific to Kalibo Airport. Fights to Boracay are approximately 1 hour
except on certain SeAir and Asian Spirit Flights which the flight time is
35 mins.
Note: Flights to Kalibo are NOT recommended.

SeAir, Asian Spirit and Interisland Airlines fly to Caticlan
Airport. Asian Spirit operates
 48-seater
DeHavilland Dash7 aircraft while SeAir operates 19-seater L410 UVP-E aircraft
and SeAirs "NEW" Donner 328 is a German built, new Generation aircraft with
32 passenger seats. (SEAIR Flights to Boracay are only 35 mins.) and Interisland
Airlines YAK-40 Jet Aircraft 36 Seater, 3 Engine Jet 1st of its kind in
the Philippines Private Hangar with Secured Parking.
Philippines Airlines, Air Philippines and Cebu Pacific fly to Kalibo. They
all operate the Boeing 737 150-seater Jet Aircraft. Flight to Boracay (Kalibo)
time is approximately 1 hour.

Caticlan Airport - Recommended
Airport of Travel to Boracay
Positive: Land transfer to the
boat dock where you board a boat to the island
is only 5 mins. Cost of airline ticket is cheaper and now instead of 1 hour
flight time - SEAIR has initiated a 35 Mins. flight. Transfer assistance
meets you right at the exit gate - Impossible to get lost!
Negative: Since the airport
is not equipped for large aircraft ONLY small aircraft are allowed to land
at Caticlan Airport. Aircraft consist of the following: SEAIR - 19 seater,
32 seater Turbo Props, Asian Spirit - 48 seater Turbo Props and Interisland
Airlines is the only 36 seater jet aircraft. The negative is the small aircraft
and people are under the misconception that bigger planes are safer than
smaller planes. The facts are that safety standards on on small aircraft
are just as high as a large aircraft and there is no study to say otherwise.

Kalibo Airport - Non - Recommended
Airport of Travel to Boracay
Positive: Only positive is
that the aircraft is a 150 seater Jet Aircraft which has a little more leg
room and overhead room.
Negative: Once you land at Kalibo
Airport, transfers will take you by bus for 2+ hours of land transfers to
get you to the Boat dock where you will be transferred by Banka Boat to
White Beach or your selected resort. (You could lose a whole day if the
bus breaks down while waiting for a replacement - also, What a horrible
way to end your relaxing vacation with a 2+ hour bus ride on bumpy Philippines
roads just so you can ride on a bigger plane - Not worth the trade off!!).
Ticket Cost: The price of a ticket to Kalibo is much higher and the flight
times are NOT good. The return flight is usually in the morning which means
you have to leave your resort 5-6 hours before flight time. (Note: If your
flight leaves at 10am, you will need to leave the island at 4-5am) Caticlan
Airport is the smart choice!!!
Transfers Information
Caticlan Transfers: You are
met at the Caticlan Airport and taken by L300 van for 2-5 minutes to Caticlan
Jetty Port were you will board a Banka Ferry which will take you to Boat
Station 1, Boat Station 2 or Boat Station 3. (Time: 30-40 mins.) Then you
will be put on a motorized tricycle which will take you to your resort and
finally to your room. Recommended Route
Kalibo Transfer: Airport
to Jetty Port 2 hours by bus-Jetty port to Boat Stations 30-40 mins.-Boat
Station to resort 2-10 mins by motorized Tricycle service.
