Boracay Island is the hottest tourist spot in Asia off the coast of Panay Island approximately 1-2 kilometers by boat. Boracay is comprised of the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak. Boracay Beach whose local name is White Sands Beach is by far the best spot on the island. White Sands Beach is divided into 3 sections which are referred to as Boat Stations. Boat Stations are just commonly referred to as Boat Station 1, Boat Station 2 and Boat Station 3.  (as seen on the boracay map below) People refer to the Boat Stations in many ways but the most come way when it comes to resort location is Boat Station 1, Between Boat Station 1 and 2, Boat Station 2, Between Boat Station 2 and 3 and Boat Station 3.

Boat Station 1: Starts from the last resort which is Boracay Terraces Beach Resort then the next resort is Fridays Boracay, Cocomangas Boracay, Watercolors Boracay, True Home Boracay, Waling Waling Boracay, Pearl of the Pacific Boracay, Seawind Boracay, Blue Wave Boracay, Willys Boracay, Jonys Boracay and many other Boracay Resorts. The best beach sand on the island with the cleanest water is located at Boat Station 1 and Between Boat Station 1 and 2. These 2 sections are the most desired location by tourist seeking sun and fun.

Between Boat Station 1 and 2: At Boat Station 1 the first resort landmark is Royal Park Boracay Hotel where the beach walk ends down past resorts like Bans Boracay, Patio Pacific Boracay, Crystal Sands Boracay, Sandcastles Boracay, La Reserve Boracay, Red Coconut Boracay, Bamboo Boracay, hey Jude Boracay, le soleil de boracay and Boracay Regency. Between Boat Station 1 and 2 is the most happening area on Boracay Island. Also located in this section is Boracay de Mall where you will find man restaurants, bars, stores which can supply even the most avid traveller. ( See Boracay Mall ) 

Boat Station 2: Located in front of Boracay Regency Beach Front Resort. Boracay Regency is located directly in the middle of White Sands Beach. Boracay Mall is just a few minutes walk from Boat Station 2.

Between Boat Station 2 and 3: Spans from Boat Station 2 to Boat Station 3 located by Villa De Oro Boracay Resort. The beach sand becomes a little rougher and darker in color. The price of the resorts are much cheaper in this area. There is still nightlife in that area but the best is from the mall down to end of the beach toward and pass Boat Station 1.

Boat Station 3 to the End: This area is far from everything with atleast 10 mins walk to nightlife. There is private/quiet areas such as 357 Boracay, Arwana Boracay, Surfside Boracay, Sun Village South Boracay Beach Front Resort and Lorenzo South. The sand is nice, but darker, course and not as pristine as Boat Station 1. There is actually a very visible difference in texture and color. This area is good for people that want to stay away from the bust areas of White Sands Beach.
