Nami Boracay: "Simply, The best view on Boracay Island from a room"
Nami Boracay is hitting the scene and becoming the KING of the
Boracay
Resorts and part of the list of Top 10
Boracay Resorts on the island. This resort is
not
located on the main Boracay beach, but found on a
neighbouring beach called, "Diniwid
Beach". This luxurious 5 star hideaway is not located at sea level, but rather 50
meters up high on a cliff face. Barely one year old, Nami Private Villas is a
great hideout from your boss, work related stress, and the everyday pains of
Metro Manila or where ever you are from.
Getting There
Nami Boracay is the only resort with true VIP Transfers. You are
meet by a Nami Representative who is holding a sign with your name on it and
then your bags are immediately taken and put upon a luxury coaster. You are then
taken to a private boat dock where you are met with welcome drinks as your
luggage is loaded on to a "Speed Boat". Once you are ready, you are whisked away
straight to Nami Resort bypassing the public completely. I particularly like
this due to the fact that I did not have to haggle my way though Taxi and
tricycle drivers and then figure out what boat to take as the swarms of venders
approach you trying to convince you to buy passage on their many local boats.
The Arrival
As you arrive at Nami Boracay , you feel the excitement of your stay as you
see
the resort perched high on the cliffs. You start your ascension by climbing
about 30 steps and then you step into Boracays only scenic open air elevator
where you are soon met by friendly hotel staff that greet you with a tropical Lei, free shell necklace and welcome drinks. Once the greeting is over, you are
taken to your room where you are shown your accommodations and its many amenities.
The Rooms
All Nami
Boracay Rooms have breathtaking views and a Jacuzzi on the
balcony. The interior design is Contemporary Filipino. Though each room is
uniquely laid out, they are unified in the luxurious details such as the classic
Hunter electric fans, Hans Grohe bathroom fixtures and individually hand
sculpted washbowls. All rooms are air-conditioned, come with complete bathroom
amenities, terry bathrobes, IDD/NDD telephones, CD/DVD players upon request,
cable television and minibar.
There are three buildings with four rooms in each. The three buildings are
called:

Matawhay, which means peaceful in Ilonggo
Matahom, which means beautiful in Ilonggo
Maayo, which means good in Ilonggo
Standard rooms located at beach level below the cliffs
There are four types of rooms. Maximum allowable occupancy per room is 4
adults.
Nami Standard Rooms average size room located near beach level.
Nami Deluxe Beach View Rooms average 35 square
meters which has two double beds (54” width each), and are compact but
comfortable and with all the amenities of the other larger rooms.
Nami Ocean View Junior Suites average 50 square
meters and includes a sitting area. Three of these suites have two double beds
each and are ideal for friends or families since they are quite large. Two of
these suites have only one large bed (queen/king) and a sofa bed .
Nami One Bedroom Suites/ Family Room average 70 square meters
and the bedroom with one king sized bed is entirely separate from the living
room, offering privacy as well as space. The living room has a pull-out sofa
bed.
I personally stayed in the Nami Boracay One Bedroom Suite and
found this room to be one of the best rooms that I have ever occupied in Boracay
with the most incredible view that money can buy. The one bedroom has a sliding
glass door from the living room to the huge balcony where your personal 2 man
Jacuzzi is located and a second sliding glass door that leads to your bedroom. It
takes approximately 3-4 hours to fill the Jacuzzi and watch out --the jets are
strong.
The Restaurant and Spa
The Nami Boracay Restaurant and Manami Bar
has a 180 degree ocean view which is unmatched on
the island.
The chef’s
principle
is to keep the menu small, select and impeccable. Room service is also
available, and picnic lunches for island hopping tours may be prepared
especially for you. Banquets may be arranged according to the guest’s fancy.
The Nami
Boracay Spa is full service and offers many styles of massages and pretty much what
ever you desire.
Directors Closing Remarks
Nami Boracay is defiantly a wise choice if you are looking for peace
and quiet or honeymooning. The only down fall is if you are looking to party the
nearest nightlife is about 15-30 minutes by foot on a beach trail carved in the
rocks (unlit at night) or a 5-10 minutes shuttle which is of course provided by
Nami for FREE and will take you anywhere at all hours. I usually took the
shuttle to the main beach and hangout all day and then shuttled back to either
rest and start up the Jacuzzi or get clean up for some nightlife. Late at night,
I did not bother the Nami shuttle service but simply grabbed a taxi tricycle and
went back to the resort. The cost was just one US buck----No Problem. Nami
Boracay is a place of escape and I highly recommend its service. Also, they only
have 14 rooms so you need to book your Nami Package well in advance.
